YES. The “crazy” label serves to silence and suppress. It goes along nicely with the misogynistic view that women are all “emotional” and men are all “logical.” And I think it’s alarming that men who exhibit the behaviors we call “crazy” in women are portrayed as romantic heroes. Would Edward Cullen or Christian Grey be heartthrobs if they were women who acted the way they do? I’d venture no.
