Yes. As a liberal/progressive, I’ve been frankly embarrassed lately by the number of fellow L/Ps characterizing celebrities as “garbage humans” or demanding that we boycott some company for a minor offense. Meanwhile, they do nothing to address their racism and sexism. Outrage culture distracts us from the bigger issues we need to work on. It’s an opportunity to perform and dress up as a moral person, but it’s a facade. Less outrage, more work, please!
