Medium trolls tend to do three things:

• They mock your credibility as a writer.
• They inject irrelevant rants into their responses that make you wonder if they even read your work.
• They usually tap into some sort of contrarianism or alt movement (for my pieces on feminism, I tend to get MRAs and alt-right trolls who don’t actually engage with my work).

I’ve only blocked one or two people who were making a habit of leaving insulting responses on all my stories. Otherwise, I just ignore them. I read every response I get and clap for the ones I think are valuable, even if they’re disagreeing with me.
