In my mind, #MeToo already included bullying; I and other people I saw were using it to describe a wide range of injustices. I tell people that whenever they insist it’s just about ruining men’s lives. But I hear what you’re saying. Bullying is indeed a huge issue — I wrote my Master’s thesis on it—and while it is gendered, it is not gender-specific. I think “mean girls” have a lot of internalized misogyny and that makes bullying definitely something that feminists should address. I also think our society incentivizes cruelty in many ways. I sense the potential for improvement, if not total eradication, through the painful conversations we’re having these days…
