I cannot tell you how many times that people has assumed I was a lesbian because I have short hair (due to health issues). First of all, it’s no one’s business what my orientation is, and second, it’s ridiculous to base such an assumption on hair length. I also hear a lot of guys say that women with short hair are “damaged.” Well, aren’t we all.
