I agree, for all those I’ve seen. It Comes at Night was a great character study and chamber drama, but failed to move beyond its superficial drama and a few creepy moments. I was quite disappointed. I watched it the same evening as The Dark Tower, which also fell short for me.

But nothing was as disappointing as The Circle, which seemed to end halfway through the movie. I did a double take when it ended! So much potential, which I hear the book explores but the movie decided to take a “safer” route in lieu of. No, thanks.
