Exactly. Every year i make more money. I’m a “lazy millennial” who worked through undergrad, couldn’t find a job during the Great Recession, and then went to grad school, while working my way up in my career. Now I’m crushed under loads of student loan debt yet have a relatively low salary for both my industry and my degrees — and the cost of living just keeps going up. I used to survive on $200 per week — now I make three times that and can barely make ends meet. Millennials are in a race where the finish line keeps moving further back and boomers keep throwing hurdles in our path. And yet no matter how hard we work, we are mocked for everything from living at home to avocado toast.
