Brilliant piece. As a white-reading woman, I learned years ago that I benefited from white privilege and that my well-meaning statement that I was “color blind” did nothing except perpetuate systems of white supremacy. All the same, I can’t even fathom how some white people make it all about them. The stories you share baffle and disgusting. The recent incidents of calling cops on black people for literally nothing are so despicable, I have no doubt that white fragility, especially white female fragility, is definitely a thing, and a big problem.
