Are You and Your Blinker Okay?

Hey, we need to talk.

I’m a little worried about you.

I couldn’t help but notice that you and your blinker seem to have a …. difficult relationship. I don’t want to say “toxic,” but… it just seems like you’re both might be taking more than you’re giving. And it’s really upsetting for me, and other drivers on the road, to witness.

Sometimes, it seems like you two are so close and you work so well together. Other times, it’s like you don’t even want to touch each other, and you just sort of let everyone else deal with the consequences.

Have you guys talked about it, or…?

No, I’m not judging you. I’m just saying, you might need to reevaluate how you guys communicate. I see that the blinker is trying… it keeps trying to help you and guide you even if you don’t want anything to do with it. And then everyone else gets confused, because it’s going on so long and you’re not doing anything.

No, I am not taking its side! I’m saying this because I care about you. Is there some sort of issue keeping you from using the blinker? Has it hurt you in some way?

You can talk to me about it.

Really, go ahead.

I’m listening.
